My additional installation steps were:¹⁾

1. updated the BIOS to v2.21 (fixes some ACPI issues);
2. add boot parameter pci=noaer to get rid of AER (Advanced Error Reporting) errors in kernel ring buffer (dmesg);
3. : because the touchpad was working only sporadic (lost i2c arbitration in kernel module i2c_designware) i did execute the procedure described in Stijn Tintel's blog (only do once!);
4. restore config files from backup:
   • ~/.gpg,
   • ~/.ssh,
   • ~/.config/vivaldi/Default, together with .local/share/keyrings (else all saved passwords will be lost)
   • ~/.config/Nextcloud,
   • ~/.config/xfce4/panel,
   • ~/.config/gtk-3.0/bookmarks,
   • etc …
